Introduction from Fr Michael
Welcome to our Parish Assembly 2021 page. The Parish Assembly, delayed from 2020 because of the Covid pandemic, was held via Zoom technology on 12 June and as a face-to-face meeting on 23 July 2021.
I hope you will take up the invitation to read the vision statement, review the feedback helpfully summarised by our facilitator, Hilary Topp, and reflect on the proposed pastoral priorities presented in advance of the assembly. More especially, I hope you will take the time to read the summary and outcomes report which is the result of the discussions that took place at our two assembly meetings and that you might also consider volunteering some of your time, energy and talents to help the parish continue to develop.
There is plenty of scope in the pastoral priorities for everyone to play their part even if they have only limited time availability.
As we find our way out of lockdown and look to the rebuilding of parish networks, your involvement in the life and mission of the parish is as vital as ever.
Assembly Summary and Outcomes
Please see below for a summary and outcomes report from the recent Parish Assembly.
You can also read a summary of the discussions that took place at the two meetings on 12 and 23 June.
Parish Assembly Prayer
In preparation for the forthcoming Parish Assembly, the Parish Assembly prayer was prayed as part of the intercessions at each Mass. Copies of the prayer can be collected from the Church porch and can also be downloaded as a pdf using the button below.
Parish Assembly Prayer 2021
Heavenly Father, grant us the generosity
of giving our time and energy
to the building up of our parish community;
that by your grace our parish may be a place of welcome,
where needs are heard, talent acknowledged and gifts celebrated.
Pour out your Spirit upon us that we may worship in truth discovering in the Eucharist the source and summit
of all that we have and are.
Keep us close to Christ, that strengthened in faith and hope,
and hearing His call to service, the witness of our words and actions may draw others to Him.
We ask this in His name and through the intercession of the saints:
Mary, Queen of Heaven | Pray for Us |
St Joseph, Husband of Mary | Pray for Us |
St Alban | Pray for Us |
St Stephen | Pray for Us |
St Amphibalus | Pray for Us |
St John Fisher | Pray for Us |
Amen
